Software Testing Club Magazine

Working in my new field “software test” of course started with a lot of Google searches. Somehow I came across the Software Testing Club Magazine.

The first highlight to mention:  the magazine pointed me to the nice cartoontester blog containing tester cartoons which soon became one of my favorites.

The magazine consists of some references to other testing blogs, a number of different articles, two conversations and a tester’s diary.

I pretty much liked the article “The Added Value of Testers” as it fits my current observation about the real added value of human testers. The one sentence summary for me is that any type of checking tests – i.e. check the expected result against the real result – can be done by less skilled people or even be completely automated whereas anything which is exploratory requires a high skilled human being.

After all, it was worth reading it to get an idea what others think about software testing.

The now have a call for papers on their blog. So feel free to participate.
